Dee completed 1 year of certified Astanga study (YA200hr) at Auckland Yoga Academy, 2007. Her practice and teaching is predominately Astanga, but she also branches out to Vinyasa flow, Power and Yin. She continues to train under the guidance of some of New Zealand’s best teachers, and with her personal practice in Astanga keeping her disciplined and dedicated, she is inspired to share the trans-formative nature of yoga, in her teaching. As a student, Dee strives for continued learning & receiving to continue sharing the great lineage of yoga wisdom.
Jocelyn has completed her 200 hr training with Power Living Australia in 2013, following 10 years of diligent practice. Her passion for Yoga led her to become a teacher, so she can share the journey with others and help them find more joy, passion, self-awareness and love in themselves and the world around them. Yoga teaches Jocelyn to live life more authentically and with compassion.
Yoga & Pilates Instructor
Loretta received a diploma in Yoga from the Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in Auckland, after a full year of study based on classical teachings and introductions to various yoga styles – Astanga, Iyengar, Viniyoga and Kundalini. Her previous training includes Sun Style Tai Chi certificates, through Dr Paul Lam, Tai Chi Productions, Netfit Pilates mat Beginner and Intermediate certificates with advanced training course, and BRS (Bachelor Rec and Sport from EIT Napier. Loretta currently keeps very busy teaching up to 18 classes a week in various disciplines.
Qualified with both Stott (Australia) and Polestar (NZ) Pilates, Marta has been teaching for over 10 years. Her journey with Pilates began in 1998 in an effort to combat debilitating back pain from a lifetime of bad posture and body imbalances. She was so inspired by her own improvements with Pilates that she dedicated herself to the intense instructor training to become a Pilates teacher. She now shares this amazing system through a teaching style that is both informative and dynamic, with an emphasis on individual achievement.
Tony ter Ellen
Tony studied Iyengar Yoga in 1984 with Wendy Brown, then Dianne Curry in Sydney. She also studied Astanga with Rob Lucas. With more than 25 years of teaching experience, Tony began teaching in 1986 at the Australian School of Yoga in Bondi, alongside study of massage and Feldenkrais. He continues as a professional massage therapist and yoga teacher here at Abundance, between travelling to Auckland to now study Physiotherapy.
